VIRUS KILL MECHANISMS
BREACH THE REACH
A software routine traps the hexadecimal code word which prevents the arm holding
the disk READ/WRITE heads from over reaching. The effect of over reach is a sag at the
center of the arm. The sag increases with each reach extension. The center section of
the reach arm contacts the media causing an unrecoverable condition when the maximum
reach is exceeded.
REVERSE NOTATION
A simple code substitution changes the write instruction to a read instruction and
vice versa in the storage backup utility. This is an effective means to destroy a backed up
system. This weapon can be joined to an attack mechanism which triggers when the first
blank backed-up media is identified.
FLIP THE CHIP
A coded signal created by the coupling of a computer to a short wave transmitter,
a linear amplifier and a directional antenna. The integration can disrupt the semi-conductor
chips normal to high technology avionics and electronics.
ITS SHOCKING
A device can be created from available components which stores voltage in a
capacitor. When discharged a massive surge of power fuses circuits, disrupts
semi-conductor chips and destroys MUX, modem and FAX type devices. Modeled after
Tesla.
MASOCHISTIC MACHINES
Turbo clock devices can be trapped and excited. A repetitive coded-loop will
generate thermal energy. Marginal quality semi-conductor chips will be immediately
affected. Hardware will be erroneously blamed. This permits an attack to be repeated.
RESOURCE REDUCTION
Multi-user and mini computers are subject to code driven resource exhaustion. A
code set can be produced in a computing device that when triggered causes the operating
system to misappropriate resources. The effect produced is a perpetual "wait" condition.
